Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to Travel to Israel, the Palestinian Territories, Jordan, and Egypt (10/30)
Secretary of State Rice will travel to Israel, the Palestinian Territories, Jordan, and Egypt from November 5 to 9. While in the region she will meet with her Quartet counterparts and senior government officials to discuss efforts to achieve positive and lasting peace in the region consistent with the Annapolis process and the shared-goal of a two-state solution.

Remarks at the Palestinian Business and Investment Forum
Secretary Rice (Oct. 14):
"...We have with us today many Palestinian entrepreneurs and representatives of the Palestinian American Chamber of Commerce in Ramallah. As representatives of the Palestinian private sector, you are the real catalysts for Palestinian economic growth. United States Contributes Nearly $28 Million to Relief Effort for Palestinian Refugees in Lebanon (9/26)
The United States has contributed an additional $17.81 million to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) for reconstruction and emergency relief at the Nahr al-Bared refugee camp in Lebanon. Fighting during the summer of 2007 destroyed the camp and displaced over 30,000 people. Read more
