RICHARD F. CLIPPARD IS REAPPOINTED AS

U.S. TRUSTEE FOR TENNESSEE AND KENTUCKY


            WASHINGTON, D.C.–Richard F. Clippard has been reappointed by the Attorney General as United States Trustee for Tennessee and Kentucky (Region 8), the Director of the Executive Office for United States Trustees announced today.

 

            “Mr. Clippard has made significant contributions to bankruptcy policies and practices within his region,” Director Cliff White stated. “I am pleased to announce his reappointment as U.S. Trustee for Region 8, and I look forward to continuing to work with him.” 

 

            Mr. Clippard was first appointed as U.S. Trustee for Region 8 in January 2003. Before his appointment as U.S. Trustee, Mr. Clippard’s professional experience included serving as interim U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee, Chief of the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Tennessee, and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Small Business Administration, and practicing law with a Nashville law firm. Mr. Clippard received his law degree from the University of Mississippi Law School in Oxford, Miss., and his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi.

 

            The U.S. Trustee Program is the component of the Justice Department that protects the integrity of the bankruptcy system by overseeing case administration and litigating to enforce the bankruptcy laws. The Program has 21 regions and 95 field offices. Region 8 is headquartered in Memphis, with additional offices in Nashville and Chattanooga, Tenn., and Louisville and Lexington, Ky.
