PREL provides program improvement assistance to Guam, the Republic of Palau, American Samoa and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. However, in FY 2007 the Republic of Palau receives funding directly from the U.S. Department of Education.
Projects provide direct education services including teacher and counselor training and retraining and curriculum development. Also, PREL provides assistance to improve vocational education and training programs in secondary schools and institutions of higher education (IHEs).
