Newspaper Supplement Helps Educate Teens About Dangers of Drug Use

CADCA, in partnership with the Newspaper in Education (NIE) Institute, PhRMA, and CHPA, has published a 16-page newspaper supplement to help educate parents and teens about the dangers of abusing drugs and alcohol. The Stay Smart, Don´t Start: The Truth About Drugs and Alcohol supplement includes a special section on prescription and over-the-counter medicine abuse.

CADCA coalitions can play a key role in helping to facilitate publication of the supplement in their local newspapers. Simply contact your local NIE program and help find a local sponsor for the supplement. For a list of all NIE programs in the country, click here.
