U.S. MARSHALS SEEK TO ‘TREAT’ NEW FUGITIVE
NELSON ‘BOO’ YOUNGBLOOD TO ITS “15 MOST WANTED” LIST ON HALLOWEEN

Washington, DC – Fugitive Nelson “Boo” Youngblood is receiving no treat on Halloween this year. The U.S. Marshals are looking to scare “Boo” Youngblood into custody by adding the accused murderer and parole violator to its “15 Most Wanted” fugitive list.

U.S. Marshal William R. Whittington of the Western District of Louisiana explained that even though Youngblood is on the Marshals’ list, the effort to bring him to justice is a cooperative one that will leave no stone unturned.

“Youngblood is a very dangerous individual and it is imperative we get him off the streets,” said U.S. Marshal Whittington. “The wanted poster may say ‘Marshals’ on it, but make no mistake, this is joint investigation being conducted by all area law enforcement to include the Shreveport Police Department, the Louisiana Probation and Parole, and other agencies participating on the task force.

“Youngblood may have gotten a head start, but with all of us on his trail, it’s only a matter of time before we bring his criminal activity to a screeching halt.”

Youngblood, 37, has been charged with the brutal murder of Keisha Avery, 35, on May 19, 2007 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Police believe that Youngblood was engaged in a drug rip-off and fired several shots from an assault rifle which struck the victim, who later died at the hospital. It was just the latest offense against the community by Youngblood, who is a career criminal with a violent past. His prior criminal offenses include attempted murder, aggravated robbery, arson, burglary, distribution of cocaine, and money laundering. Youngblood is considered to be a major distributor of drugs along the corridor between Shreveport, LA and Houston, TX.

He is also wanted by the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections for violating his parole, due to his engagement in criminal activity while on parole from a previous prison sentence. Youngblood is also being sought by the Panola County Sheriff’s Department in Carthage, Texas for failure to appear on money laundering charges.

Youngblood is a black male, 5’07” tall, weighs 155 pounds, and normally shaves his head. He has numerous tattoos on his chest, both arms, and right hand. He has family and associates in Louisiana and Texas, but may travel throughout the southeastern U.S. Youngblood is considered to be armed and extremely dangerous.

Anyone with information about his location is urged to contact their nearest U.S. Marshals’ office or the U.S. Marshals Service Headquarters toll-free at (800) 336-0102. There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information directly leading to the arrest of Youngblood. All information received will remain confidential.
