INTRODUCTION and DESCRIPTION OF MATERIALS

Within this section of the Web site you will find materials that are designed to enhance awareness of the Lifeline and Link-Up programs. These programs provide significant help to eligible consumers in setting up and paying for telephone service. Whether you work for a local social service agency, a senior center, or a community newspaper, these materials are user-friendly resources to help in the task of raising consumer awareness of these programs and helping eligible consumers enroll.

Please feel free to alter these templates to suit your needs. For example, if you work for a local newspaper, please use the information included within to tailor the sample news release and/or story so it fits your location. It is important to recognize, however, that certain information about Lifeline and Link-Up-such as the eligibility criteria-will vary from state to state. Information on specific state eligibility criteria is available at www.lifelinesupport.org.
