Estrategia Nacional para el Control de Drogas, 2008 This is the Spanish-language version of the 2008 National Drug Control Strategy, the President's strategy to reduce drug abuse and its harmful effects. The Strategy calls for a balance between reducing the demand and supply for illegal drugs in America, and outlines new programs which have been proven to be effective in combating substance abuse.

National Leadership Conference on Medical Education in Substance Abuse This report summarizes the actions of more than 60 leaders of public and private sector organizations that met November 30 – December 1, 2006, for the second National Leadership Conference on Medical Education in Substance Abuse. The invitational gathering brought together key officials of Federal agencies, organized medicine, medical training institutions, licensure and certification bodies, and insurance experts to discuss ways to enhance the training of physicians in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of substance use disorders, including prescription drug abuse.

Leadership Conference on Medical Education in Substance Abuse
In December 2004, ONDCP hosted an important Leadership Conference on Medical Education in Substance Abuse. The conference brought together leaders of private sector organizations, Federal agencies, organized medicine, and licensure and certification bodies to discuss ways to enhance the training of physicians in the prevention, diagnosis, and management of alcohol and drug use disorders, including prescription drug abuse.
