A. The court fax number is not published and is for internal agency use only. ** any court related documents received by fax will be destroyed.**



Q. What are the procedures for a change of venue request?
A. Submit a motion to the Florence Immigration Court with a certificate of service attached stating you have served the opposing party. State in the change of venue request the new mailing address of the respondent and which immigration court you want venue changed to.



Q. How long does the court wait for the DHS to respond?
A. 10 days



Q. Can you schedule a bond hearing without a written request?
A. No, it must be in writing.



Q. Can I (attorney) conduct the hearing by phone?
A. Yes, for bond and master calendar hearings. Telephonic hearings for individual merit hearings are discouraged.



Q. How do I request a telephonic hearing?
A. You must submit a written motion with certificate of service requesting a telephonic hearing.



Q. Will I call the judge?
A. No, the immigration court will call you at the number you provide. You must be prepared to proceed when the Immigration Judge calls.



Q. What is the bond amount for a detainee?
A. The Department of Homeland Security sets bond amounts - contact them at 520-868-5862



Q. How can I get a detainee released?
A. Call the Department of Homeland Security at 520-868-5862 to determine where and if the individual is detained. They can direct you where to pay the bond.

You may request by a written motion and a certificate of service to the immigration court for a hearing to redetermine the amount of a bond.
