Courtroom Etiquette
- Dress in a manner that shows respect for the facility and for
others.
- Do not chew gum.
- Smoking is not allowed in federal courtrooms.
- Behavior should be appropriate at all times, while in the federal
building.
- Do not talk while in the courtroom, unless asked a question
by an attorney or the judge. When answering, speak loudly enough to be heard.
- All cell phones and pagers should be turned off or locked into silent mode
- No recording equipment is allowed in the courtroom.
- No food or drinks in the court.
