Air Force Financial Management & Comptroller

Mr. John H. Gibson, SAF/FM  We are still at war, determined to finance today's fight while simultaneously financing our ability to prepare for and win future wars. In a constrained fiscal environment, our ability to provide accurate, timely and relevant financial data, from cost estimates to budget projections to accounting execution data, is paramount to enabling Air Force leadership at all organizational levels to make informed decisions.

Amidst these Air Force challenges, our career field continues to transform our financial business operations and our supporting training and education programs to ensure our organizational competitive edge in the future.

These challenging demands intensify the need for empowerment and trust at all management levels. Our people are the lynchpin of our success. A collaborative, team-oriented leadership approach will optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial operations, critical to maintaining the premier Air Force in the world.

More than ever before, we rely on our people, the best in the business and the envy of the Department. I have the utmost confidence in our ability to rise to any challenge and I look forward to celebrating our future successes together!
