Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program FY-2004 Contract Information
Updated
07/20/2005
The following three maps display information on the Wildlife Habitat
Incentives Program (WHIP) contracts that were obligated in fiscal year 2004.
The voluntary program encourages creation of high quality wildlife habitats that support
wildlife populations of National, State, Tribal, and local significance.
The funding provides technical and financial assistance to landowners and
others to develop upland, wetland, riparian, and aquatic habitat areas on
their property. In FY-2003, NRCS obligated more than $27 million to enroll more than
3,000 contracts covering more than 400,000 acres into the program. Click on each map's Data link for detail information.
