Solar Schools

Welcome to the Solar Schools Site. This site allows access to metered AC energy to grid from each of the 15 schools currently enrolled. Each school has between 500 watt and 600 watt of photovoltaic panels and a 1,500 watt inverter, except for Hiawatha Elementary where the utility elected to install approximately 1,200 watt of PV panels. Some schools have not yet installed the PV system, some are still working through other issues; therefore, not all schools have metered data available. Data will be posted under each participating utility as it becomes available to the American Innovations Host system. Limited graphs are available on this site to view data in different ways.

There is a table and pie chart that shows the total AC energy to grid produced by each school. The data is for calendar year to date, shows the percent of total contribution for each school, and the date the meter began calling into the system.
