Fuel Cell Program

A Partnership to Advance Technology

While PEM fuel cell systems are a promising option for on-site power generation, the technology is still in the development stage. Fuel cell systems for homes or small businesses are not yet readily available or affordable.

Supporting the advancement of fuel cell technologies is part of the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) energy efficiency activities. BPA supports field testing systems to ensure that commercial systems meet the needs of our Customers, as well as to identify and address barriers to fuel cell technologies.

BPA's goal is to make clean, efficient fuel cell technology a practical, affordable option for supplemental power in homes and small businesses.

To learn more about BPA's Fuel Cell Program, please send us an e-mail or call (503) 230-4796.
