The office of government relations is responsible for overseeing relations between local, state and federal government and the University of Missouri System.

The government relations team provides information to the president and his cabinet and the chancellors regarding legislative initiatives and assists the president and chancellors in the development of federal and state legislative priorities each year. These priorities then set the agenda for action by the team in Washington and Jefferson City.
