Our Keep in Touch (KIT) has a new feature. Now you can subscribe to receive specific topics you request. You may also subscribe to receive community outreach messages from the school division and up to five schools. This service is in addition to the KIT messages you may already be receiving. If you are already receiving KITs because your child is enrolled in FCPS or if you are an FCPS employee, please follow the paths below for information about the new subscription service. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs): Families/Parents are currently receiving KITs because your contact information is in the student information system (SASI) database. Community Members/Students are people with contact information that is not in either of the official Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) student or employee databases. OR if you are a student, other family member, or friend and are not receiving the KITs but would like too. Employees can update your contact information in Uconnect. If you currently use an anti-spam program or service and would like to be sure that you receive your Keep in Touch messages, please add Keep in Touch to your "safe" or permitted email sender list. Instructions. 1. Do you need to update your contact information to receive KIT notifications? Here's how... Don't have a Parent View Account? If I update or unsubscribe in the subscription portal, will I still receive KITs emergency announcement from FCPS or my child's school? Yes, you will still receive KITs that FCPS and/or your school deems important for you as a parent to receive. To update your contact information you will need to follow the instructions in Question 1 above. Unsubscribing through the subscription portal will not remove your contact information at your child's school. 3. Why should I subscribe if I'm already receiving KIT messages? If you subscribe, you will be able to receive KIT messages about topics that interest you. You may choose for FCPS system-wide announcements, such as School Board updates, news releases, and opportunities to volunteer. You may also want to subscribe to receive KIT messages from the schools in your neighborhood to to notified about sports events, visual and performing arts shows, or general announcements. Once logged in, click on the “Employee” tab at the top of the page. Then, on the next page, select “My Address” to update home address and phone number and then click “My Work Contact Info” to update work phone number. Follow the instructions on each page.
