20 Yr Service Award

Mr. French Wynne of Warren, Arkansas has been a cooperative observer for the National Weather Service for 20 years. He has measured and recorded temperature and precipitation data on a daily basis, with the data sent to the National Climatic Data Center in Asheville, North Carolina.  The data is eventually published to become a part of the permanent record of the world's weather.  Mr. Wynne has also been instrumental in reporting severe weather in his area to the National Weather Service.

For his efforts, Mr. Wynne received a 20 Year Length-of-Service Award on August 25, 2000.

Mr. Wynne's weather observations have been taken at Potlatch Corportation in Warren.  Potlatch has served as an observing site since 1975, with employees at Potlatch presented with a Special Service Award.
