Director of the Diplomatic Reception Rooms

Marcee F. CraighillMarcee F. Craighill has been Director of the Diplomatic Reception Rooms, Department of State, since December, 2007. The Diplomatic Reception Rooms, a suite of rooms in which the Secretary of State, Vice President, and Members of the Cabinet entertain official guest, are furnished with an outstanding collection of American fine and decorative arts of the 18th and early 19th centuries. The Rooms are among the most important examples of Americana in the world with over 4500 objects displayed in rooms inspired by 18th century American interiors. Ms. Craighill served as Acting Director from September . December 2007 and as Associate Curator of the Diplomatic Reception Rooms since 2004.
