15 Yr Service Award |

|
Mr.
John Barrett of Vandervoort (Polk County in western Arkansas) has been a cooperative observer
for the National Weather Service for 15 years. He has been measuring and
logging daily rainfall data during that time, with his
measurements sent to the National Weather Service at the end of each month.
His data is then forwarded to the National Climatic Data Center in Asheville, North Carolina
and eventually published to become a part of the permanent record of the world's weather. For
his efforts, Mr. Barrett received a 15 Year Length-of-Service Award from the National Weather
Service in June of 2005. |
