To help reduce the number of children living in poverty and improve the economic outcomes of disadvantaged families, the NGA Center awarded $12,000 grants to 10 states to convene Governors Summits on Poverty and Economic Opportunity: Arizona, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Michigan, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Virgin Islands and Wisconsin.
