Robert Scheer uncovers "The Pornography of Power" October 9 2008, at 7:30 p.m.
Truthdig.com editor-in-chief Robert Scheer visits the Nixon Library next week to talk about his new book "The Pornography of Power." Scheer, a former Vietnam correspondent for Ramparts magazine and a liberal commentator on NPR station KCRW, argues against the influence of the military-industrial complex. Publishers Weekly calls "The Pornography of Power" "rigorously researched" and Vanity Fair calls it a "searing polemic". Scheer will speak and sign copies at the Library. The Nixon Presidential Library announces the release of a digital copy of President Nixon’s Presidential Daily Diary, the official record of the president’s meetings and telephone calls. The PDD is now available online as a searchable PDF by month or by DVD-ROM ($10).. Learn More >

National Issues Forums series comes to Nixon Library September 30, October 16, and October 28, 2008 The Nixon Library joins with its fellow Presidential Libraries across the country to present a series of public forums on pressing topics of national importance. The Library is presenting these forums in collaboration with the National Issues Forums.
