Though we come from the post-school outcome perspective, the concepts to be discussed are relevant to Part C Indicators 3 & 4 and Part B 7, 8, & 14 in which sampling and “representativeness” are critical issues.
Big Ideas:
- Who is in the target group? (census or representative sample)
- Why rigorous data collection strategies are so important?
- Who is in the respondent group?
- How do we know if respondents are representative of the target group?
- What if respondents are not representative of the target group?
