The Expedition 18 crew Friday stowed hardware, set up video equipment to record their exercise and rebooted a server and router. A hardware test also was performed on a Russian science experiment. Crew members also did normal station maintenance activities.

Flight Engineer Yury Lonchakov and then Commander Mike Fincke were videotaped exercising on the treadmill. Afterwards, Fincke transferred the video for replay at a later time. Flight Engineer Greg Chamitoff worked out on the resistive exercise device and cycle ergometer. The station’s treadmill and cycle ergometer have vibration isolation systems that minimize disturbances to sensitive science experiments and equipment.

Chamitoff and Fincke spent some time prepacking hardware for return on space shuttle Endeavour. The STS-126 mission also will deliver a new Expedition 18 crew member, Sandra Magnus. Chamitoff will trade places with Magnus and return home with the STS-126 crew aboard Endeavour.
