The Historian’s Office is located in the Marilla Community Center at 1810 Two Rod Road, Marilla, New York. The postal address is Marilla Historical Museum, P.O. Box 36, Marilla, New York 14102. The office hours for the Historian are on most Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9PM, or by appointment. Inquiries concerning the genealogy of former residents of Marilla are always welcome.

The Marilla Historical Society is a non-profit organization devoted to the collection and preservation of artifacts relating to the history of the Town of Marilla. The Society maintains a Historical Museum which is located in the front of the Marilla Community Center. The museum is open on the third Sunday of each month except July, August and December from 2 to 4PM. The museum is also frequently open during special town celebrations such as parades and the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.

Anyone interested in the history of Marilla and related subjects should visit our Museum. It contains a large and diversified collection of artifacts including agricultural implements, cheesemaking items, a taxidermy collection, Civil War materials, old books, General Store items from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, blacksmithing tools, Native American artifacts, etc.

The Society offers many free programs that are of historical interest. It meets at 7PM on the fourth Tuesday of the month in the Community Center. New members are always welcome. Membership dues are $4.00 per year, and $3.00 per year for seniors, 65 and over.
