Barry County’s Household Hazardous Waste and Tire Collection is happening again this year on October 4, 2008 at the Barry County Fairgrounds. The parking lot next to the Courts & Law Building will be closed beginning on Thursday, September 25, 2008 for renovation and expansion. It is anticipated that the lot will be closed for approximately 45 days. The public is encouraged to use the Courthouse lot and the Friend of the Court paved lot while this upgrade is underway. Thank you for your cooperation and patience during the construction process. Charlton Park is hosting its 2nd annual Lumberjack show on September 27 and 28. There are 3 shows daily at 1:00pm, 3:00pm and 5:00pm. There will be displays and demonstrations, a working steam sawmill, horsepulling (beginning at 9:00am on both days), kids activities and MUCH MORE!
