The Gerry Mulligan Collection at the Library of Congress
Acknowledgments and Special Thanks
The Gerry Mulligan Collection Web presentation owes a great debt to Gerry Mulligan’s wife, Franca R. Mulligan, president of Mulligan Publishing Co., Inc., whose kind cooperation, donations, and assistance made this possible.
The overall vision for the collection and Web site was determined by Jon Newsom, Chief of the Music Division, in consultation with Franca Rota Mulligan.
Franca Rota Mulligan would like to thank the following for their help with preparing materials for this Web site: Cathie Phillips at Mulligan Publishing Co., Inc. whose assistance has been so great during all these years--her research, coordination and organization enabled things to happen in a smooth way; Rebecca Roth who provided invaluable archival assistance with the Gerry’s Music Library; Laurie Goldstein who continues to provide support and assistance regarding Gerry’s music, copyrights and licenses; Dick Bochinski for his work with us on archival projects; Lobsang Tshering for scanning and cataloging our photographs; Gerard Dugelay in France, for his cooperation and help preparing Gerry’s discography; and a special thank you to Jon and Iris Newsom, and the many people at the Library of Congress for their contribution to Gerry’s web site.
The scores and parts for "K-4 Pacific" were notated by Al Gemberling at the International Jazz Collections, Lionel Hampton Center, University of Idaho (www.ijc.uidaho.edu), with additional thanks to Lewis Ricci, Michael Tarabulski and David Morse. Thanks also go to Stephen Soderberg of the Music Division at the Library of Congress for his assistance with the files.
The oral autobiography by Gerry Mulligan was conducted by Ken Poston in 1995. The autobiography was edited by Jon and Iris Newsom in consultation with Franca R. Mulligan.
