Guidance for the Use of the ODEP Alliance Logo

ODEP Alliance Logo

The Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) Alliance Initiative logo is the property of the U. S. Department of Labor Office of Disability Employment Policy and is not available for general use. The logo symbolizes and signifies that a product has been developed as part of the ODEP Alliance Initiative and is for informational purposes only. The appearance of the logo on such products in no way reflects the official views of ODEP or the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) and should not be construed as an endorsement of the entity, its products or services.

Use of the Alliance Initiative logo is reserved for ODEP and active Alliance Initiative participants. Use of the logo for fundraising and lobbying is strictly prohibited. Additionally, the logo should never be used in a manner that denotes, represents or otherwise implies endorsement, support, approval, and or sanction, of a particular entity or its actions, products or services by ODEP,US DOL or the Federal government.

The Alliance Initiative logo may be used in the following capacities with the joint agreement of ODEP, USDOL Office of the Solicitor and Alliance Initiative participant(s):

ODEP-Developed Alliance Resources

Print Resources

  • ODEP-developed fact sheets for individual Alliances used for education and outreach.

Note: The fact sheets must be "factual" and only focus on the Alliance Initiative and its products and activities.

  • ODEP-developed banners and brochures 
  • Stationery and letterhead 

Note: Use of the Alliance logo on stationery and letterhead is within the strict control of ODEP. Other parties desiring to use the logo in this manner must first obtain permission from ODEP.

  • Giveaways such as pins and magnets.
  • The Alliance Initiative Annual Report.

Online Resources

ODEP Alliance Initiative and other ODEP Web pages located at www.dol.gov/odep/alliances/index.htm, or other Web pages that are related to the Alliance Initiative to indicate that Alliance Initiative participants helped develop or review the product.

Alliance Initiative Participant-Developed Resources

For purposes of using the Alliance Initiative logo, all proposed products developed in conjunction with the ODEP Alliance Initiative, must first be approved by ODEP

Print Resources

  • Manuals, reports, studies, fact sheets and other publications that are developed in consultation with ODEP through the Alliance Initiative by Alliance Initiative participants.
  • Banners and brochures developed by Alliance Initiative participants. 
  • Giveaways such as pins and magnets.

Online Resources

  • Web sites developed by Alliance Initiative participants.

Note: The logo shall not be used to give the appearance that the Alliance Initiative participant’s Web site is endorsed or otherwise supported by ODEP or is a part of the ODEP Web site.

  • PowerPoint presentations and videos developed in consultation with ODEP through the Alliance Initiative for information and/or training. 

Note: The logo may appear on PowerPoint presentations and videos provided such use is pre-approved by ODEP
