Statement by the Press Secretary

The President has signed into law:

H.J.Res. 113, which recognizes the contributions of Patsy T. Mink;

H.R. 2486 the "Inland Flood Forecasting and Warning System Act of 2002;"

H.R. 5647, which authorizes the duration of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet contract to be more than five years but not more than seven years.

S. 1270, which designates the United States courthouse to be constructed at 8th Avenue and Mill Street in Eugene, Oregon, as the "Wayne Lyman Morse United States Courthouse;"

S. 1339, the "Persian Gulf War POW/MIA Accountability Act of 2002;"

S. 1646, which identifies certain routes in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Colorado as part of the Ports-to-Plains High Priority Corridor on the National Highway System; and

S. 2558, the "Benign Brain Tumor Cancer Registries Amendment Act."
