  • The White House - The White House homepage has links to a variety of benefit sources available from the Federal Government.

  • The U.S. House of Representatives website - Information on how to contact representatives.

  • The U.S. Senate's website provides comparable information plus other links to Senate historical information and art.

  • U.S. Department of Education - Homepage for the Dept. Of Education.

  • The National Archives - Several services for veterans available, including the ability to request copies of your military records.

  • Department of Labor - Veterans Employment and Training Services. A site designed to make it easier for veterans to obtain civilian job credentials based on military training and experience. A “MUST SEE” site.

  • Students.gov - Students.gov is a U.S. Government - wide initiative to deliver electronic services from government agencies and organizations to postsecondary students.

  • Compendium of GI Bill Regulations - Cornell Law School's compendium of United States Code Title 38 Regulations which govern the GI Bill programs.

  • DOD Voluntary Education Program - This program provides off-duty civilian high school, vocational-technical, undergraduate and graduate educational opportunities to U.S. military personnel worldwide. These services are provided through the respective Services and their local education centers.

  • Troops to Teachers Program - This program is managed by the Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Support (DANTES)

Its mission is to bring information and resources to Guard families, community members, commanders, and staff within the Family Program. Financial Aid

  • SallieMae - Student financial aid Program.

  • U.S. Department of Education Student Guide to Federal Student Aid Programs - This guide provides valuable information about federal student aid programs. Published by the U.S. Department of Education.

  • Military Award Program - Imagine America is proud to announce a Military Scholarship Program. Visit the link for details.

  • Ross Family Survivor to Survivors Scholarship - Provides funding to attend Ramapo College of New Jersey. This scholarship provides funding for college expenses (up to full funding of tuition, room and board for up to four years) to educate children of members of the United States military who perished while serving their country during the current conflicts. The program is open to students throughout the country.

  • National Military Family Association - This site has useful information for military families as well as a scholarship program for spouses of military members.

  • MilitaryScholar.org - This site offers a scholarship for children of military members.

  • The Horatio Alger Scholarship Program - The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans announced that in 2007 it will award $5,000 military scholarships to U.S. veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts. September 30, 2007 is the deadline for all scholarship applications. Last year the association gave out over 1,400 such scholarships. Recipients are chosen based on their perseverance in overcoming adversity. Additional consideration is given to financial need, academic record, commitment to pursue a college education and desire to contribute to society.   • Student Veterans of America - An organization dedicated to creating an environment that fosters a smooth transition into institutions of higher education for student veterans while maintaining an open and progressive dialogue among student veterans nationwide and their counterparts in their respective educational institutions.

  • AustraLearn - Center for Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific Studies is a non-profit 501C3 organization placed in the USA to assist North American student with studying overseas. They make it much easier for you to apply to a Bachelor’s, Master’s, Ph.D., Graduate Diploma or Professional Doctorate program and our Full Degree advisors will assist you through each step the application, financial aid, student visa, housing and pre-departure processes, and serve as your liaison with the universities. Their services are free to students and you will not pay any more than the actual cost of tuition at the overseas university just as you would if you studied here in the USA.

  • American Council on Education - ACE evaluation teams provide clear guidelines to interpret and recommend credit for formal service-school courses, demonstrated proficiency in military occupations, and college-level tests.

  • Graduate Record Examinations - This site is the Graduate Record Exam Online. Topics include Financial Aid, Sample Test Questions, Practice And Reference Materials, and other related information.

  • Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) -The CHEA Database of Institutions and Programs Accredited by Recognized United States Accrediting Organizations provides the largest and most comprehensive Web-based listing of accredited institutions and programs in the U.S. The database is maintained on the CHEA Website at http://www.chea.org/search/ and updated regularly. Users of the database can easily find whether an institution or program is accredited, the organization that has awarded the accreditation, and where the institution or program is located. For more detailed information, links to all institutions, programs and accrediting organizations are provided as well.  NOTE: VA approval should NOT be inferred just because a program or institution is on this listing.
