President to Welcome Prime Minister Marek Belka of Poland
Visit by Prime Minister Marek Belka of Poland

President Bush will welcome Prime Minister Marek Belka of Poland to the White House on August 9, 2004. The United States and Poland enjoy a strategic alliance, one rooted in shared values and a common struggle for freedom. Poland is an essential partner in the international effort to help the people of Iraq.

The President looks forward to discussing with Prime Minister Belka the war on terrorism, Afghanistan and Iraq, the NATO and EU agendas, and our bilateral economic relations. The two leaders will also discuss support for democratic reforms to Poland's east, as well as international support for reform in the broader Middle East.
