ORLANDO, Fla. -- More than four months after four hurricanes ravaged Florida in 2004 many Florida residents are still waiting to get their damaged roofs repaired. The Disaster Contractors Network (DCN), a group of experienced professional contractors, many of whom have been specifically trained to deal with post-disaster recovery, offers the following advice to assist those still needing roof repairs.

If you have questions on contractor licensing check the homeowner information section of the DCN website at www.dcnonline.org or call 1-850-487-1395.

FEMA prepares the nation for all hazards and manages federal response and recovery efforts following any national incident. FEMA also initiates mitigation activities, trains first responders, works with state and local emergency managers, and manages the National Flood Insurance Program and the U.S. Fire Administration. FEMA became part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on March 1, 2003.
