What is a Junior Ranger?

A Junior Ranger is an important person who helps park rangers take care of our national parks. 

Do you like exploring the park, taking boat trips, hiking in park forests, or seeing a bald eagle fly overhead? Would you like to have fun and help us take care of the park?

If the answer is yes, then you might be just the kid we're looking for to become our newest Junior Ranger!

Pick up a free Junior Ranger booklet on your next visit and become a Junior Ranger.

How do you become a Junior Ranger?

You can become a Junior Ranger by completing a Junior Ranger booklet. Pick up a free booklet at any of the three visitor centers. Booklets are not available on the internet. After completing the booklet, present it to a park ranger or volunteer to receive your badge and certificate.

Become a Junior Ranger member of the Bear Club (ages 9 & up), the Wolf Club (ages 6-8) or the Beaver Club (ages 5 & under) on your next visit!
