Be A Junior Ranger
A Junior Ranger receives her badge.

Young visitors to Stones River National Battlefield may become Junior Rangers during their visit. The park offers two activity books (Ages 6–8 and Ages 9–12). Candidates who successfully complete these activities will receive a certificate, ID card, and a Junior Ranger badge.

If you can’t make it to the battlefield, you can visit the WebRanger Headquarters on the web and explore your national parks from home.

Nathan Bedford Forrest and his men were defeated by a Union force in a small battle along the Wilkinson Pike. The Battle of the Cedars was fought on December 7, 1864.
