Be A Junior Ranger

Keep your eyes and ears open for the new Junior Ranger Booklet that will be offered in Spring 2009. You will be able to  become a Junior Ranger by visiting the Oxon Cove Park Bookstore and picking up the Junior Ranger activity book.  When you complete the exercises in the book you can show it to a park ranger to receive a certificate and a Junior Ranger badge.  This program will be geared for kids between the ages of 9 and 13.

You can become a Junior Ranger at anytime by visiting the WebRangers online. Click here to go directly to this interactive site for ages 6 and up.

Did You Know?
The oldest fruit tree in the National Park Service can be found at Oxon Hill Farm. For centuries the making of cider from apples has been more than just pressing fruit to provide a delicious drink. Cider making was a social event for family and neighbors.
