Administration Launches EconomicRecovery.gov as a Resource for the American People

WASHINGTON—The U.S. Department of Commerce today launched an interagency Web site, EconomicRecovery.gov, designed to help get us on the road to economic recovery. The Web site will be a resource for the latest information about important economic issues, and what the U.S. Government is doing to strengthen the economy and restore prosperity.

“The American people need to know how their government is working to resolve this economic crisis and restore confidence in our markets,” Gutierrez said. “This Web site will provide a one-stop-shop for those who need help to stay in their homes, find jobs and protect their savings and investments. We want to ensure that America’s families, workers and businesses know where they can get help in this difficult economic period.

“This is an anxious time, but the American people can be confident in our economic future. Under the President’s leadership, the Administration has taken bold actions to stabilize our markets. We will overcome the current economic challenges because we have a resilient economy and the most talented and innovative workers in the world. We know what the problems are, we have the tools we need to fix them, and we're working swiftly to do so. We all share a determination to solve this problem and that is exactly what we’re going to do.”
