Community Supervision
Community supervision of sex offenders by the Division of Field Services recognizes that sole reliance on commonly used supervision practices may not adequately address the unique challenges and risks which sex offenders present to the community and victim. To best address these challenges and risks, the Division has adopted best practices and evidence based community supervision strategies developed by the Center for Sex Offender Management (CSOM). Collaboration between various agencies involved with sanctioning and treating offenders and protecting and treating victims is a core component to this strategy.
