National Victim Assistance Academy (NVAA)

NVAA offers week-long, university-based training sessions each year on victimology, victims rights, and victim services.

The 2003 National Victim Assistance Academy was held June 8-13 at California State University-Fresno and Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, and again June 22-27 at the Medical University of South Carolina (College of Charleston).

Similar training, modeled after NVAA, is available at the state level from State Victim Assistance Academies (SVAAs). For more information, contact OVC TTAC at ttac@ovcttac.gov or 1-866-682-8822 (TTY 1-866-682-8880).
