Visitor Activities:
  • Help the farmer feed the farm animals, every Saturday and Sunday afternoon, at 4 p.m. in the summer and 3 p.m. in the winter
  • Hike to the Bailly Cemetery
  • Explore the Bailly Homestead
  • Stroll over to the Chellberg Farm

  • Area open, 7 a.m. to dusk daily

Driving Directions:

From the West
1. Exit I-94 using the Highway 20 exit for Porter
2. Go east on Highway 20 for 1 1/2 miles to Mineral Springs Road, turn left (north)
3. The entrance is 1/4 mile on the left

From the East

1. Exit I-94 using the Indiana 49 north exit 26B and go 1.3 miles to Highway 20 west
2. Take the ramp for Highway 20 west, once on Highway 20 go 1.7 miles
3. Turn right (north) on Mineral Springs Road, entrance is 1/4 mile on left
Or
1. Take Indiana 49 north to Highway 12 west (left)
2. On Highway 12 west go 3 miles to Mineral Springs Road and turn left (south)
3. Go south 1.5 miles to entrance on right

Did You Know?
On November 29, 2006, Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, dedicated the new Dorothy Buell Memorial Visitor Center. The facility is be shared with the Porter County Visitor Convention, Recreation, and Visitor Commission.
