Commissioner Tate: Is your TV ready for digital? I'm Commissioner Tate of the Federal Communications Commission, and by February 17th, full power television stations will stop broadcasting in analog, and broadcast in digital only. Your TV needs to be ready for digital so you can keep on watching. If you have a TV with a digital tuner, or if your TV is connected to a paid service, like cable or satellite, there should be no affect on your service. If you have any questions just call your provider. But if you have an analog TV with rabbit ears or rooftop antenna, you need to act. You can buy a TV with a digital tuner, subscribe to a paid service, or buy a converter box that plugs into your TV. The Government offers you two 40-dollar coupons toward the cost of converter boxes.
