Houston, Texas — 2003–2008

From March 2003–February 2008, the Houston Independent School District (ISD) in Texas received funding from CDC’s Division of Adolescent and School Health to conduct the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS).

Past Program Activities

Conducted the Youth Risk Behavior Survey

  • Used YRBS data to identify training needs for classroom teachers, guide curriculum revisions, and target student-centered activities.
     
  • Used YRBS results to determine program initiatives, establish needs when requesting grant funds, and recommend supplemental instructional resource materials.
