Disaster Recovery Center Opens In Hannibal

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- A Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) is opening at 3 p.m. today, July 2 in Hannibal to provide face-to-face assistance to those suffering damages from the recent flooding.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency and the State Emergency Management Agency announced the following location and hours:

Chapel Hill Professional Building
109 Virginia Street
Hannibal, MO  63401
Opening day, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.; then from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Closed Sundays.

The center will be open on the Fourth of July holiday during regular office hours.

The DRC will remain open until no longer necessary.

Visitors should register with FEMA prior to visiting the DRC. Homeowners, renters, businesses of all sizes and private nonprofits may now register for assistance by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or TTY 1-800-462-7585 for the speech- or hearing-impaired. The registration helpline is now available 24 hours a day; beginning July 4, the hours are from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week until further notice.  Online, register at anytime at www.fema.gov.
