COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in La Junta, Colorado, located at 215 Raton, has determined operational hours for the coming week.

The DRC is a joint center staffed by representatives from state, federal and voluntary agencies who can answer questions and provide information about the types of disaster assistance which may be available. Questions concerning the status of an application also can be addressed at the center.

The recovery centers are primarily a source of information for people who have registered for assistance due to losses resulting from the flooding and extreme rains between April 29 and May 19. People who have not yet registered should call FEMA's toll-free registration number at 1-800-462-9029 (TTY 1-800-462-7585), Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.
