Disaster Recovery Centers Schedule New Hours

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) in La Junta and Colorado Springs have new operational hours.

The DRC hours are:

Disaster Recovery Centers are located at 215 Raton in La Junta and 1521 Hancock Expressway in Colorado Springs.

The DRC is a joint center staffed by representatives from state, federal and voluntary agencies who can answer questions and provide information about the types of disaster assistance which may be available. Questions concerning the status of an application also can be addressed at the center.

The recovery centers are primarily a source of information for people who have registered for assistance due to losses resulting from the flooding and extreme rains between April 29 and May 19. People who have not yet registered should call FEMA's toll-free registration number at 1-800-462-9029 (TTY 1-800-462-7585), Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. until 6 p.m.
