Hours Change For Disaster Recovery Support Functions

RAPID CITY, S.D. -- Federal, and state disaster officials announced changes in hours of operation for several disaster support functions associated with the presidential disaster declared for Shannon County and the Pine Ridge Reservation.

Changes for the Disaster Recovery Center, located at the Pine Ridge High School, the Phone Bank located at the Loneman School in Oglala, the FEMA Registration Line and the Helpline are as follows:

Friday, June 25:

Disaster Recovery Center open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Phone Bank at Loneman School open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Registration Line open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Helpline will be closed

Saturday, June 26:

Disaster Recovery Center will be closed
Phone Bank at Loneman School will be closed
Registration Line will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Helpline will be closed

Sunday, June 27:

Disaster Recovery Center will be closed
Phone Bank at Loneman School will be closed
Registration Line will be closed
Helpline will be closed

Monday, June 28 - Friday, July 2:

Disaster Recovery Center open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Phone Bank at Loneman School open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Registration Line will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Helpline will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m

Saturday, July 3:

Disaster Recovery Center will be closed
Phone Bank at Loneman School will be closed
Registration Line will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Helpline will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

July 4 & July 5:

All offices closed due to the July 4th holiday

July 6 & July 7:

The Disaster Recovery Center will remain closed until July 8

Starting July 6 until further notice:

Phone Bank at Loneman School open Monday -Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Registration Line will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday - Saturday
Helpline will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday - Saturday

Starting July 8 until further notice:

Disaster Recovery Center open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday - Friday

The Disaster Recovery Center was established to provide information to Pine Ridge Reservation and Shannon County individuals who sustained damage from the devastation that hit the area June 4 and 5. The center is located at the Pine Ridge High School, Oglala Community School Campus.

Disaster officials are urging individuals and businesses that sustained damage to call the FEMA toll-free registration number to register for disaster assistance. The number is 1-800-462-9029 or (TTY) 1-800-462-7585 for the speech- and hearing- impaired.

For those individuals who have already registered but have questions about the status of their application, FEMA's Helpline representatives may be called at 1-800-525-0321 or (TTY)1-800-462-7585 for those with speech or hearing impairments.
