Charleston, WV -- Nine Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs), five at fixed sites and four moving from time to time, are operating in some of West Virginia's communities hardest hit by the recent floods and mudslides.

The centers are run jointly by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the West Virginia Office of Emergency Services to provide direct, one-on-one information on disaster assistance programs. Program specialists from those agencies, as well as the U. S. Small Business Administration, American Red Cross, and others, staff the DRCs to answer questions and help flood victims recover from the disaster.
