Labor Day Weekend Hours Of Operation For Disaster Assistance

WICHITA, Kan. -- In observance of the upcoming Labor Day weekend, all FEMA/State Disaster Recovery Centers and the SBA Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) will be closed Saturday, Sept. 1 though Monday, Sept. 3. For SBA assistance applicants may call 1-800-659-2955 or visit the website at www.sba.gov/services/disasterassistance.   All offices will resume normal hours of operation on Tuesday, Sept. 4, which will also be the last day for applicants to visit the Wilson County DLOC.

The FEMA teleregistration line and Helpline 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) will continue to be available for Kansas applicants from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., CDT, Saturday, Sept. 1 and Monday, Sept. 3. Following the Labor Day weekend the 1-800 number will be available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The TTY number for residents with special speech or hearing needs is TTY 1-800-462-7585.  Registration is also available online at www.fema.gov.

FEMA operates four DRCs in Kansas, where victims of the severe storms and flooding from June 26 to July 25 can visit Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. At these DRCs, recovery specialists are available to meet one-on-one with disaster victims.

Tuesday, Sept. 4 is the last day to register for this disaster.
