WACO, Texas -- Two months after the Presidential disaster declaration, the Governor's Division of Emergency Management (GDEM), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) continue to demonstrate its commitment to Texas residents and businesses affected by June 16-August 3 severe storms, tornadoes and flooding.  As of August 30, FEMA and the SBA have approved more than $37,656,796 million in disaster aid.

FEMA coordinates the federal government's role in preparing for, preventing, mitigating the effects of, responding to, and recovering from all domestic disasters, whether natural or man-made, including acts of terror.
