ORLANDO, Fla. -- News releases from the Joint Information Center supporting disaster recovery operations in connection with Hurricane Charley and Tropical Storm Bonnie are available online. Information distributed about the August 13 presidential disaster declaration for Florida can be found at:

News Releases for locations where presidential disaster declarations have recently been made are available by going to www.fema.gov. Look for “Active Disasters and Emergencies,” use the drop-down menu to select from the list of locations, then press “Go.” Once you are taken to the selected Web page, click on the link called “More news for this disaster.”

These are the same releases that are distributed to media outlets via other methods. Advisories, which are not for publication or broadcast, are not posted on the website.

Photographs of Hurricane Charley recovery operations are also available from the FEMA Web site by clicking the Photo Library link on the www.fema.gov main page, then enter 1539 in the Declaration Number window or Florida in the Location window.
