PENSACOLA, Fla. -- The last day to fill out an Operation Blue Roof Right of Entry (ROE) form at one of the many U.S. Army Corps of Engineers community-based collection centers is Friday, October 22. For one additional week, until Oct. 29, ROEs can be filled out at five sites located within the Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa county area.

A Right of Entry form can be completed at one of the following Disaster Recovery Center locations:

The ROE, signed by the resident, allows Corps staff and contractors access to private property for 30 days. The Corps will presume that the continued posting of an ROE form, or an ROE number on a property, grants the government and its contractors continuing permission to install a temporary “blue roof,” even if the ROE was signed prior to the 30 days the form allows for.

The Corps of Engineers and their contractors will continue to work in the area until all residents who applied for a “blue roof” receive one.

Operation Blue Roof is an assigned mission by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the State Emergency Response Team. Through this program, victims of Hurricane Ivan may be eligible for temporary roof covering.
