Objective:
To develop various immunological reagents which are needed for poultry research.

Approach:
As a member of large consortium grant to develop immunological reagents for 5 different animal species, Dr. Lillehoj will identify major cytokine and cell surface marker genes of poultry, express them in suitable expression vectors and validate their function using in vivo and in vitro assay system.
