National Spasmodic Torticollis Association

Mission statement:

The National Spasmodic Torticollis Association (NSTA) is a non-profit, self-help world-wide organization dedicated to: -Spreading knowledge about Spasmodic Torticollis (ST) -Providing support for ST victims including their families and helping them to maintain their self-esteem. -Acting as an advocate for the rights of those afflicted with ST. -Promoting, encouraging and supporting research for ST. When ST strikes, it can be a devastating and debilitating condition. A by-product of it often- times is low self-esteem. As a result, many of the people suffering from this tend to become isolated from friends, family and the general community. NSTA's basic philosophy is to reach out to these people; to care for them; and to bring comfort and information to them.
